Bio

I am a New-York-City-based photographer. My education includes a BA in physics from the University of Mississippi and a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University. I was a late-comer to photography, buying my first camera when I turned forty and studying black-and-white technique at the International Center of Photography. My interests expanded to color imagery when I adopted digital photography in 2001. I also review photography exhibitions for the New York Photo Review (www.nyphotoreview.com). I am a long-time member and past president of Soho Photo Gallery.
